Shopping - Imperial Valley Mall (imperialvalleymall.com) has Dillard's, Sears, JC Penney, Macy's, and most of the usual "mall stores". Target, Walmart, K-mart, Costco, Von's, Lucky, Lowe's, Home Depot.
There's the Valley Plaza near the IVMall. Here's where you'll find Best Buy, Michael's, Old Navy, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, etc.
Eateries - There is Chile's, Famous Dave's, Johnny Carino's, Denny's, Chuck E. Cheese's and more around the mall area. Too many Mexican restaurants to list! An Agent favorite is El Zarape Restaurant in Imperial. IHOP, DENNYS, Sizzler, Carrows, China Palace Steakhouse, Fortune House (Chinese), Golden Corral (Prime Rib Buffet), Grassos (Italian), Burgers & Beer (casual), Applebees, La Fonda (Mexican). There are plenty of local Mexican food stops.

Curves is $40 p/month, and Ladies Fitness Express is another new circuit program but also offers classes. They run about $35-40 a month for a 1-2 yr. contract. There is a Navy base here (NAF El Centro) where agents can get on with their credentials. There is fabulous, brand new gym there with personal tvs for cardio machines. Agents and their family can pay $2 per visit, $20 a month, or $200 a year. There is also an amazing pool there with lap lanes and 2 real waterslides (one winding and one steep). That is also $2 per visit. The base also features a bowling alley, mini golf, and go carts.
Any other Information that you would like to add: The mall features a multiplex, Dillard’s, Robinsons May, Sears, & JC Pennys. There are 3 movie theaters here- 2 multiplexes and 1 drive-in. If you are still in school there is Imperial Valley College and an SDSU satellite campus in Brawley and Calexico offering 6 majors. There is also a brand new University of Phoenix with each class lasting 5 weeks but only meeting once a week.
San Diego is less than 2 hours away. There you'll find just about anything you can think of! SD is close enough for a day trip to the beach. There's a Knott's Soak City waterpark there, too.
The Palm Desert area (including Indio, Cathedral City, La Quinta, Palm Springs, and more) is about an hour& a half away. Casinos, great shopping & eateries. There's also a Knott's Soak City waterpark in Palm Springs.
