Station type of work -
An example of the way our shift is working. Two weeks up at the Checkpoint, which includes working groups that are sneaking around the point or just in the area. Working the city of Nogales on line watch, catching the people that jump the fence are crawl through holes - cameras guiding us in to the aliens. Working in the remote/desert/canyon areas outside of Nogales for groups of aliens, drive through's in vehicle's and packers carrying dope.

While working at the station in the radio room operating cameras, transporting aliens, deporting and processing aliens, etc.

After a year or two you can apply for station details - bike patrol. There are other units you can get on later such as Horse Patrol, ATV's, BORCAP (scooping up criminal aliens from the county jail), INTEL, DISRUPT (plainclothes anti-smuggling), and working as Liaison for DEA and the Local/County Drug Officers, PIO (Public Information Officer - Media Relations).

There are some collateral duties you can volunteer for like "Explorer" Scout Advisor.

Sector has details such as Recruiting, Sector PIO, Prosecutions, Immigration Court Liaison, BORSTAR, SRT, and others. details like working they had working at Tucson Station for several months, helping out at Sector Detention or with Bus Transport.

We're have cooler temps than some other places on the southern border.

Shopping - Wal-Mart, K-Mart (it could be closed by now), JC Penny's, Safeway, Bashes, Agree and a host of smaller shops and stores.

Eateries - Carl's Jar., Burger King, McDonalds, IHOP, and others for dinning.

Entertainment there are swimming pools, heath clubs, bowling lane, Golf, and many churches to pick from.
Other Towns to live in and commute to Nogales station are Rio Rico( about 15 min's from the station ), Green Valley/Sahuarita (35 min's), Tucson (one hour) and Sierra Vista (1 hour), a host of smaller towns in between all the above listed towns. Info on Rio Rico and Green Valley/Sahuarita is available .

(Almost no BPA's will live in Nogales) but have info on Rio Rico, and Green valley where most will commute from to Nogales.
