Here are some emails of people who are glad
to give you a helping hand.

Station type of work -
Shopping - Huge mall (Bellingham
is known for Canadians coming down to
go shopping) with chain stores from Target to Bon-Macy’s
to The
Gap; Wal-Mart; About hour south in Burlington, WA is an
Outlet mall for discounted clothes, home furnishings,
etc.
Eateries - Tons of good local food
plus the normal chain restaurants (from Billy McHale’s
to Denny’s to McDonalds) with a ton of price and
variety options.
Cellular Telephone -
Local Internet Providers - Comcast
( see website: www.comcast.net)
Other Services - This is a college
town with a fluctuating population, base population is
approximately 70,000. The college is Western Washington
University, third largest state college in Washington.
(There is also the local community and technical colleges
also.) The main University is known to be a teaching college
(for education majors), so the local school systems are
really good. (Low student/teacher ratios, lots of equipment.)
There are lots of outdoor recreational things to do -
skiing/snowboarding; camping; hiking, kayaking. Good nearby
fishing and hunting areas.(according to people I work
with!) This is a bigger size town but it’s harder
to find jobs due to college students and their spouses
also looking for work.
