Guidelines
for ALL E-Mail Support,
on behalf of BPspouses
Thank you for your interest in helping BPspouses with
e-mail support regarding your sector/station/town. BPspouses
welcome you into the fold, and we know that your help
will be as topnotch as those that are currently volunteering
their expertise and time.
BPspouses.com is here to help you, but please note that
how your sector/station is ran; is up to the Border Patrol.
The local support system is coordinated through BPspouses
due to the fact that every sector/station’s support
needs differ.
Please note that BPspouses defines itself as a support
system dedicated to facilitating the transition of new
trainees and their families.
We have worked very
hard to leave behind the negative stigma of “wives
clubs," as this is not the image we wish to cultivate.
Through past experience here in Yuma we have found that
refraining from establishing monthly meetings or monthly
gatherings is a vital first step in setting up a successful
support group, although, having occasional gatherings
is acceptable. We have simply found that gaining support
from within the station is best achieved through maintaining
a strict level of professionalism.
The following are guidelines that we expect all sponsored
e-mail support to adhere to. They are fairly basic rules,
and stem from our desire to protect our efforts within
the Border Patrol.
1. USE OF

associated with BPspouses you agree to follow the guidelines
laid out for us, by the IRS, U.S. Border Patrol, Customs
and Border Patrol Officers, and the Department of Homeland
Security
b) You agree to use information as
it is intended
c) At this time we ask that no personal
web sites concerning support for the Border Patrol/Customs

and if you have something to add to your town page,
we will be glad to update your town page accordingly.
2 . CONDUCT:
a) If you have any questions or concerns regarding your
sector/station or Border Patrol employees, please contact
BPspouses and we'll address the appropriate person(s).
It should be clearly understood that we have no say
whatsoever in how the Border Patrol operates, and we
are functioning solely in a support capacity. All of
your efforts will therefore be coordinated with BPspouses.
b) We are solely here to be
a positive support for our Agents, and always
support the positive & factual side of the
Border Patrol, housing, town.
c) We
are not here to degrade the Border Patrol, housing
or the towns; if we hear of you doing this, you will
be removed from our contact list and we will notify
your Agents' PAIC or Chief to inform them that you are
no longer a part of BPspouses.
