BP Spouses Support
Supports Yuma Sector
(Yuma, Wellton Arizona and Blythe California)
BP Spouses Support
is a SEPARATE ENTINTY from the U.S. Border Patrol.
We offer this BP Spouses web site, our BP
Spouses forum, and e-mail
support while your Trainee is away at the academy,
PLUS a reminder that when you are approximately three
- six weeks from graduation we'll help you locate a place
to live. Please make sure you sign-up
for this fabulous opportunity at NO charge to you!
Our Purpose
BP Spouses Support is NOT
a “wives club” or a “social affair”.
Our focus is on the trainee and their families as a whole
while they are in their trainee status. The BPS will
help you find housing at no cost
to you, provide information on schools, businesses,
playgroups, questions about Yuma, and anything else that
might benefit the trainee and their family.
While your spouse is in training at the
academy please join us at:
BP Spouses Forum
To discuss our fears, problems or myths about life while
spouse is in the academy, living on the southern border
and the life as a Border Patrol family.
We are here if and when you need help with the above or
needing help finding a place to live when the time comes.
After graduating from the academy and moved
to Yuma and during their orientation week, we will greet
the families. Each family will be given small tokens of
contributions from several local business as well as information
packets on pertinent business to newcomers.
By the time the probation period is over,
we believe your family has made a network of friends and
have gotten to know Yuma enough to where you do not need
the BPS.
Ideally, by the time they have reached
the end of their trainee status they will have adjusted
more quickly to Yuma by having the BPS to ease the transition.
In short BPS is here for three main reasons:
1. To help make transition easier on the trainee and family
(if they have one)
2. Locate housing conducive to the trainee/family
3. Help support the local Border Patrol in a time of crisis
and/or help with events within our local Border Patrol
Sector
We encourage each and every new Border Patrol
Family to get involved in BPS.

Sincerely,
