The Sector is responsible for 450 miles of border with Canada from the Ohio/Pennsylvania state line to Jefferson County, New York. The sector also encompasses most of New York State and all of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Trainees do not get stationed here.


The Sector area of responsibility covers 59,541 square miles of Texas, and reaches more than 300 miles into Texas from the U.S.-Mexico border.

 

The Sector area of responsibility includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
Stations of the Detroit Sector are located in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Port Huron, Sault Ste. Marie, and Trenton, Michigan.
Trainees do not get stationed here.


The Sector covers the counties of Imperial and Riverside, California.

 

The Sector covers 125,500 square miles including the entire state of New Mexico and the two western most counties in Texas, Hudspeth and El Paso.


The Sector covers North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri.
Trainees do not get stationed here.
 

The Sector is responsible for 45 miles of border area between Montana, Canada, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, as well as, part of Idaho.
Trainees do not get stationed here.


The Sector covers the entire state of Maine.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

 

The Sector encompasses 116 counties and covers 101,439 square miles of southwest and northeast Texas. The Rio Grande River is both the southwest and international boundary. The Laredo Sector is situated between the Del Rio and Marfa Sectors on the west and the McAllen Sector on the southeast. The northern boundary extends to the Oklahoma border.


The Livermore Sector covers the area from the northern boundaries of Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, north to the California-Oregon State line. In Nevada it extends from the southern boundaries of White Pine and Nye counties north to the Nevada State line. The western boundary is the Pacific Coast in California.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

 

The Sector covers over 135,000 square miles encompassing 118 counties in Texas and Oklahoma. Marfa Sector is the largest in geographical area of any sector along the Southwest border. Border Patrol Agents in the Marfa Sector are responsible for over 420 miles of river border.


The Sector covers 17,000 square miles of Southeast Texas, including the following counties: Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr, Brooks, Kenedy, Kleberg, Nueces, San Patricio, Jim Wells, Bee, Refugio, Calhoun, Goliad, Victoria, Dewitt, Jackson, and Lavaca.
 

The Sector covers the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

The New Orleans Sector has jurisdiction over a seven-state area, encompassing 592 counties and parishes and approximately 362,310 square miles, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and a portion of the Florida panhandle.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

 

The Sector covers Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Stations: The Ramey Sector has one station located in Ramey, Puerto Rico.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

The Sector covers the entire San Diego County.

 

The Sector covers eastern Washington and Idaho, and western Montana up to the Continental Divide.
Trainees do not get stationed here.


The Swanton Sector area of responsibility encompasses some 24,000 square miles and includes the State of Vermont; Clinton, Essex, Franklin, St. Lawrence and Herkimer counties of New York; and Coos, Grafton and Carroll counties of New Hampshire. This area includes 261 miles of International Boundary, from the Maine-New Hampshire state line on the east. Of the 261 miles of border, 173 miles are land border and 88 miles are water boundary, chiefly the St. Lawrence River.
Trainees do not get stationed here.

 

The sector area of responsibility encompasses Arizona,
except for Yuma,
La Paz and Mojave Counties

Towns that have no stations in
them but are commutable
distance from various stations.

 

The Sector patrols 118 miles of border with Mexico, between the Yuma-Pima County line in Arizona and the Imperial Sand Dunes in California. The sector has responsibility for Yuma, La Paz and Mojave Counties in Arizona, the Eastern-most areas of Imperial, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties in California, and the four Southern-most counties in Nevada.
