BP Spouses Advertisement 2010 BPSpouses History/Mission My name is Vanessa Crelia, and I am the Founder of BPSpouses. BPSpouses has been in existence 1999. In some areas, our support team work together with U.S. Border Patrol Management to help transition of agents, Interns and families throughout their careers. We believe that BP Spouses is an excellent advertising tool. We are a separate entity from the Government, the Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. All our support systems are in effect by volunteers and the Government does not financially endorse us at this time. We are relying on advertising and contributions from businesses to help us welcome these Interns and their families. When the Interns Enter On Duty (EOD), we hand out information specific to their station (some locations), with contact information for support. After they go to the academy, we continue supporting the Interns and their families back home. We spend numerous hours helping each family before they arrive at their destination by answering questions, sending digital pictures of available housing, and simply providing long distance support. All Interns must complete a lengthy training program at an academy. After they graduate, we assist these Interns and their families in finding housing, physicians, businesses, community information, etc.. Continual Support Although the Interns have graduated the academy, they must continue their training at their local station and remain on probation for a total of 24 months. The strain on new Interns and their families is considerable, and it is our hope that through increased advertisement from communities we can become a greater asset to the Border Patrol, the employees, and their families. With all the movement within the Border Patrol these days, we also assist a lot of seasoned Agents and their families to new areas in which we support them in their transition. Our support is never ending and we are always here to help our families. Advertisement Program We obtain our referrals by personal use, Border Patrol families, friends and others. We are very particular on who advertises on our web site. At this time we seek advertisement from businesses. We only have the BEST QUALITY of businesses on our web site. Since our over head is very low and we only choose companies on our web site to where our loyal visitors, the Advertiser and BPSpouses ALL can benefit. We do not solicit businesses.
